Meet the vets
Dr. Lynsey Wagner earned her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, graduating Summa Cum Laude, from Texas A&M University in 2006. She completed a rotating small animal internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey and a 3-year ophthalmology residency at Eye Care for Animals in Arizona. Dr. Wagner completed the requirements for board certification and became a diplomat in the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists in 2010. Following residency, she returned to Texas and has practiced in Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. Dr. Wagner joined the Gulf Coast Animal Eye Clinic in August
Dr. James “Jamie” Herrmann graduated Cum Laude from Texas A & M’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. He completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Auburn University from 2014 to 2015. He then completed a specialty internship in ophthalmology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2015 to 2016. He recently completed his 4-year combined master’s degree and comparative ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida and is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists.
Dr. James (Jim) Swanson graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine, Michigan State University in 1977 and was in private practice in Battle Creek, MI for 2 years. In the Department of Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Texas A&M University in 1979, he completed a dual residency in Ophthalmology and Small Animal Internal Medicine. Dr. Swanson then occupied a junior faculty position at Texas A&M University. Dr. Swanson was an assistant professor at the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Wisconsinuntil 1986 when he returned to Texas to join Dr. Kohle Herrmann.
Dr. M.K. (Kohle) Herrmann graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine 1970. He was an intern and medical resident at the Animal Medical Center in New York City 1970 to 1973. In 1973 he moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado and was a clinician at the teaching hospital at Colorado State University until 1974. In 1974 he returned to Texas and went into private practice in Houston . Dr. Herrmann completed the requirements for board certification and became a diplomat in the ACVO in 1976. In 1984 he started the Gulf Coast Animal Eye Clinic.
Dr. Glaze graduated from Texas A&M University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1976. After working in a small animal general practice in Baton Rouge, she completed a residency and Master's degree in veterinary ophthalmology at Michigan State University in 1981. She then joined the faculty of Louisiana State University's Veterinary Teaching Hospital, remaining on staff until 2001, when she retired as Professor Emeritus of Veterinary Ophthalmology. Dr. Glaze joined the Gulf Coast Animal Eye Clinic in August of that year and practices out of our Campbell Road office.
